The Mushroom Tarot

The Mushroom Tarot is inspired by the Rider-Waite-Coleman Smith system. This deck uniquely pairs each Major Arcana card with a mushroom species, chosen for its morphology or the personal experiences of the creator, Chris Adams.

The Minor Arcana cards are thoughtfully matched with mushroom genera that either resemble the suit’s physical form—Pentacles for star-shaped fungi and Cups for cup fungi—or embody its energetic essence, such as Cordyceps for Wands and Psilocybe for Swords.

Artwork blends influences from punk rock, cartoons, 60s counterculture, and scientific illustration, with a touch of creative flexibility to honor the fungi he recreates using pen, ink, and squeegee.
